As an athlete at ALHS, Jon achieved success at many levels. As a member of the 4 x 100 relay team, success came as the team won the SWC championship. Jon was also an integral member of the 2003 state championship football team. His success at running back earned him recognition as the SWC MVP, Lorain County Player of the Year, District Player of the Year and All Ohio Division II Offensive Player of the Year. His accolades culminated with his selection as first team All-Ohio. Heavily recruited, Jon chose Ashland University to continue his football endeavors. Jon set the single season touchdown record for the Eagles. His record stands today.
