Tim was a standout athlete in both Basketball and Baseball for the Shorernen. Tim earned All-Conference and All-County honors in both sports as well as being recognized as the. conference MVP in basketball and baseball. Avon Lake had not won conference titles in either boys’ basketball or baseball in over twenty years and Tim was instrumental in bringing conference titles back to Avon Lake. After high school Tim had tryouts with the Cincinnati Reds and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
